North Pentlands Windfarm Action Group

Please excuse any broken links on this site - and do visit the Info & Links page for further information.

We are a group of residents from West Lothian and South Lanarkshire who are concerned about the growing number of wind farms in these areas, and the effect they are having on people, wildlife, our landscape and environment, and our livliehoods. We are also deeply concerned that our famous Scottish landscapes, which support 1 in 10 jobs through tourism, are being destroyed. Please join us in voicing your concern.

If you have been fooled by the prospect of community grants into trading our beautiful countryside for overly expensive, unreliable electricity and a promise of a community grant for a new swing park for the kids, please see the various accounts of those who have been driven from their homes by the industrialization of the landscape and the menace it causes.

Fauch Hill Wind Farm

Urgent! Fauch Hill submission deadline imminent!

Fauch Hill is situated close to Harperrig Reservoir and is on the edge of the Pentland Hills. It is one of the evil twins destined to ruin the incredible scenery in both the Pentlands and the area surrounding Loch Ness, via the Druim Ba development. The developers EFRG, who are London based, helpfully provide a single-page site with only their email address, but further info can be found here. The 'Druim Ba - Say No' site can be found here.

It is imperative that if you wish to object you do so now, or your chance to do so will be gone! Even the simplest letter is better than doing nothing. In your submission please identify the proposal and specify the grounds for representation, NOT LATER THAN 31st MARCH 2012.
